Choirs and Classical Ensembles: we use a High Resolution digital 2 track stereo flash memory recorder, with a pair of microphones on a high stand. A Mixing-Editing studio session will enhance and finalize the sound.
Cost: Always based on $65 per hour. For the live concert recording, around $200 and for the Studio mixing-editing, about $100.See CD duplication and design for deals on live recordings.
Live Bands: Portable Pro Tools LE with laptop. Right now, 16 tracks plus 2 for ambiance recording. The use of microphone splitters make it very easy to “share” microphones with the live sound system.
If you keep your set up simple, your live session could cost around $300 (set up and performance recording). I’ll give you the “live” ambient track on a CD the next day, so you can evaluate what you want to work on.
Then, we mix and finalize the CD in the studio on Pro Tools HD Accel3.See CD duplication and design for deals on live recordings. |
